Groundwater Management
CyMod Systems applies MODFLOW and other numerical models (including pre- and post- processors such as Visual Modflow, PMWin, GMS, GW Vistas, and FEflow) to model groundwater flow. We also offer assessment, management and remediation of groundwater contamination using solute transport models (www.usgs.gov).
Mining Services
CyMod Systems optimises borefield performance and conducts resource assessments for the life of the mine, as well as managing life mine dewatering through groundwater modelling and process simulation. We develop tailings deposition models and use surface modelling to manage tailings storage, including water balances. We also offer support for regulatory compliance through the use of quantitative results.
Water Balance Modelling
CyMod Systems models water use within processes using the Goldsim simulation program (www.goldsim.com). Typical objectives include:
- Optimisation of water use at the process design stage
- Identification of risks and uncertainty at the pre-feasibility and feasibility design stage
- Support of the regulatory approvals process through the use of quantitative results
Surface Modelling
CyMod Systems uses a number of in-house programs - as well as the industry standard ArcGis - to construct simulations of surface processes such as deposition, excavation and inundation. Central to this modelling is the organisation and access of data in a GIS context, enabling hydraulic and environmental analyses.
